CULTURE IS
THE CONTEXT
GUIDE
REFLECTIONS:
- something that surprised or delighted you
- something that inspired or irked you
- something you’re curious to know more about
QUESTIONS:
- Is there a film or other piece of media that has inspired you to shift your environmental practices?
- What is a climate solutions news story you’d be excited to read?
- Are their local youth climate groups in your area? What are they working on?
- Are there major problems or possibilities left out of this section?
- If you could get one celebrity and one friend/colleague/community member to speak up on climate change, who would it be and what would you have them do/say?!
ACTIONS:
- Per #4 above, reach out (perhaps @ them on social media)to that person and encourage them to speak up.
- Ensure that your sources of news include quality information on climate. Become a paid subscriber to support that journalism.
- Encourage your local meteorologists/journalists to connect the dots between weather and climate, and other global issues, including food security, health, and jobs and the economy.
- Support/partner with young people working for climate action.
- Other ideas for action?
